I am a preservice teacher at Youngstown State University, middle level math and science. I am also working toward minoring in Spanish to help with teaching an increasingly diverse student population. I have chosen to become a teacher through my passion for math and science along with my love for helping people achieve their potential. During high school when I was on the YMCA of Youngstown Neptunes swim team, I would occasionally be asked to help teach different strokes and techniques to the younger swimmers on the team, this is how I found out that I am called to be a teacher.
Outside of academics, I participate in several activities on campus at Youngstown State University. I run cross country and track, I am President of the YSU Spanish Club, I participate in Chi Alpha campus ministry, and I am an avid skier. I see great importance in athletics as well as extracurricular and co-curricular activities for all students, which is why I am involved in such a wide range of clubs and activities.
