There are many ways that a teacher can and should continue to grow throughout his or her career. One way that I like to grow as an educator is reading books written by other educators that outline success stories an different pedagogical techniques that can be used in a classroom. It is important to go into these readings with an open mind knowing all teachers have a different style and all classrooms have a different atmosphere. There is no one perfect way to teach, but I strongly believe in learning from other educators of impact and combining their ideas with some ideas of my own to create a powerful learning environment. There is no magic remedy to make every classroom work perfectly, but reading stories of other educators can lead to overcoming challenges that will inevitably arise in every classroom.
