It is imperative for teachers to keep accurate records of many things that happen every day; this may include attendance, grades, or any forms that need to be signed by parents. In the past, teachers have relied heavily on paper documentation and have attempted to keep track of all of the papers that are handed in daily along with all of the papers sent home with students. While many of the papers are necessary, there are lots of other ways that teachers could track the same information in a much more organized way without the risk of losing records.
In my classroom, I plan to maintain accurate records using many of the concepts and programs that we have learned about in tech of instruction. One of the programs that we learned about, Chalk, would be a great way for me to keep an attendance record, grades, and different important files such as lesson plans. Keeping all of this information stored online will eliminate the risk or misplacing a paper among stacks of other papers and make it possible for me to maintain accurate records as a teacher.
