A classroom is more than just a square room with desks and a chalkboard; a classroom is a place where students need to be comfortable and ready to learn. Teachers need to design classrooms to be a space where students know what is expected, as well as designing it to be a space where students are engaged and encouraged to participate in learning. Included in classroom environment, teachers need to establish social expectations that encourage respect between students and teachers.
