Planning and preparation is important because it is how knowledge is passed from the teacher to the students. Planning and preparation involves planning and preparing for each individual lesson as well as planning and preparing to become an overall effective teacher. This domain involves getting to know the content that you will be teaching as well as preparing pedagogically for anything that may occur in the classroom.
